For violin and piano
A three-movement suite with significant technical challenges. Moves across the terrain from lightheartedness to contemplative. I believe this is the first piece I wrote after retirement. A pandemic was raging.

This is a realization of the piece, as we wait for a full performance
Complete piece
1 - You’re It - a little game of musical tag in which the violin and piano chase one another, while playing largely independent music. They finally come together for one brief jazzy passage.
2 - Priority Thread - an active movement in which the violin and piano continually change roles—one leading and one supporting. Listeners who’ve spent time in the computer world will understand the name.
3 - A Moment for Mom - This is a moment of closure written a few months after the end of my mother’s long life. I wanted that life to be longer.
