Like many people, I'm a lot of things.  I'm primarily a musician who took a detour into technology. That detour is over and I’m back to composing. But here’s the short history:

After working several years as a guitarist, I completed an education in classical composition, taking a Bachelor’s at Berklee and a Masters at Boston University. I was also a Fellow at Tanglewood. The most important of my teachers was Theodore Antoniou. I've been fortunate enough to have several good performances, some of which you'll find here.  I was not drawn toward life as a teacher, so I followed another childhood interest--science and math.  This began a technology career that lasted 40 years. This culminated in the founding of a company—Exponential Audio—in 2012. Exponential Audio software has become a part of hundreds of films, including many popular major releases.  Exponential Audio was acquired by iZotope in late 2018. I stayed on for a couple of years while iZotope took the reins of my technology. This allowed me to retire and get back to making music.

This site focuses on music alone.
